DVD buyers and renters powered "Live Free or Die Hard" back into the No. 1 positions atop the video charts. Watered down only slightly, "Hairspray" shuffled into second in sales and third in rentals.
Fox Home Entertainment's better-than-you'd-think "Die Hard" fended off "Shrek the Third" from Universal, which collected the green in second place in sales and rentals. "Die Hard" also seized No. 1 in Blu-ray sales.
New Line's new "Waitress" had a warm reception from renters, sliding into table No. 3 for Fox.
